Heating Your Nail
The Eyce Silicone Dab Rig is revolutionary for the dabber on the go, and it is reliable when used properly. The proper temperature to heat your nail is 400°F (205°C). As a frame of reference; if your nail is glowing red after heating, LAY OFF THE HEAT! When the titanium is glowing red, your nail is >1000°F (538°C) which is much too hot for a comfortable smoke. Heating your nail up to 400°F requires ~5-8 seconds of flame to the dish of your nail. Pro tip: Instead of focusing your torch flame on one location of the nail, spread the heat evenly around the dish.
The ideal temperature for concentrate dabbing is between 300°F - 400°F. Below are a few other resource articles about proper dabbing temperature.
Heating your nail for longer than 15 seconds and/or applying the torch flame directly to the silicone is not advised. The silicone has a maximum allowable temperature of 600°F (315°C). When the nail is heated as advised, the silicone will not reach temperatures anywhere near it's allowable maximum temperature. Although it is safe to heat the silicone up to the maximum allowable temperature, it is not recommended as it may cause risk or harm and may weaken the integrity of your silicone product.
There is plenty of thermal margin to use your rig safely without concern of unintentionally overheating. Just keep your dabs cool and comfortable.
We do NOT recommend use with e-nails.
Cleaning Your Rig
We currently recommend a light boil, and scrubbing with a soap and water solution. DO NOT use any alcohol solution on your silicone product, alcohol breaks down silicone and is not recommended.
